We are glad to present the first Russian festival of sport films.

It has been founded in the city of Krasnogorsk - the historic centre for winter

sports in the Moscow region. The idea to unite film makers and atheletes in the

festival framework has been totally supported by the state and drew great

attention of specialists and culture lovers.

Within the six year period under the festival motto "About People and Victories"

over 600 films from 52 countries participated in its official competition programme.

These works bring interesting stories about 57 sports,coaches' destinies, sport stars,

Olympic champions, team histories and young sport fans.

The Festival President is the legendary figure scater,three times Olympic champion

Irina Rodnina.Among the Festival Board of Trustees members are prominent political,sport and cultural figures.

The Festival central venues are traditionally Moscow and Krasnogorsk theatres.

Our film forum is an unparalleled showcase of the best sport movies from over

the world. Film makers from different countries take part in the festival activities.

We are proud to mention some of them: Beno Hvala (Slovenia), Jonathan Hock

and Mark Mahon (USA),Ken Scott (Canada),Vito DeMagio (Italy), and Russian

masters Evgeny Gerassimov, Svetlana Druzhinina, Dmitriy Charatian,Alla Surikova, Egor Konchalovsky,Arkadiy Inin.

The Seventh edition of the film festival Krasnogorski took place from May 28 till June 2. Its main venues were: The Illusion and Kronverk Cinema theatres in Moscow and in Krasnogorsk. 79 films from 20 countries have been submitted to the festival competition programme. The winners in six nominations have been chosen by the international jury headed by Egor Konchalovsky.

The Opening ceremony started on May 28 at the Illusion theatre with the Russian documentary Free Style Person presentation, devoted to the famous goal keeper and sports commentator Vladimir Maslachenko.

The ceremony anchors were Russian film stars Maria Golubkina and Michael Dorozhkin. Popular sportsmen, film makers and celebrities were among the festival traditional guests.

Within the festival framework its participants visited the all-season mountain ski complex Snezh.com, where the first Sochi-2014 Olympic Games promotion started.  The Awards Winners ceremony took place at the Crocus Expo Blue Hall on June 2. Its hostess were the charming actress Irina Bezrukova and the famous actor Dmitry Kharatyan.
